
Marshall, MI - Ardelle L. LaValley, 66, died Thursday, June 4, 1998 at her residence in Marshall, MI following a long illness.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 8 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marshall, MI. Burial was in Fort Custer National Cemetery. The Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home of Marshall, MI was in charge of the arrangements.
Ardelle Langaas was born on June 4, 1932 in Grafton, ND, the daughter of George and Petra Amanada Langaas. On April 18, 1955 whe was united in marriage to Arnold "Blackie" LaValley in Thief River Falls. She has lived in the Marshall, MI area since 1974. Ardelle was a homemaker and worked for ten years at J.H. Cronins Clothing in Marshall, MI.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Marshall Women of the Moose and the Thief River Falls VFW Auxiliary. She was a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling, walking and playing golf.
Ardelle is survived by her husband, Arnold; four daughters, Gail LaValley of Dallas, TX, Char Casarez and Lenette Henson, both of Marshall, MI and Lisa Nelson of Moscow, ID; two sons, Gary LaValley of Minneapolis and Bill LaValley of Kalamazoo, MI; 13 grandchildren; one brother, Raymond Langaas of Kennewick, WA; and one sister, Gladys Johnson of Thief River Falls.
She was preceded in death by four brothers.
