
Rapid City, SD - Eula E. Kvikstad, 88, formerly of Thief River Falls, died Saturday, March 6, 1999 at the Bella Vista Retirement Center in Rapid City, SD.
A memorial service will be held in Thief River Falls in the spring.
Eula Pearson was born on July 3, 1910 in Warren, the daughter of August and Lena Pearson. She grew up in Warren, graduating from Warren High School in 1928. Following graduation she worked at Taralseth's store for two years. From 1930 to 1933 Eula was employed as a bookkeeper in Turlock, CA. She returned to Warren and was employed by the county agent until 1935. In 1935 she moved to Duluth where she worked as a typist.
She married Victor Kvikstad on December 16, 1936. Eula lived in Thief River Falls from 1936 until April of 1998 when she moved to the Bella Vista Retirement Center in Rapid City, SD. She was employed as a secretary for many years by the Pennington County Welfare Department.
She was a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the Women's Club, Homemakers and CC Clinic.
Eula is survived by two sons, James Alan of St. Paul and V. Ronald of Castro Valley, CA; one daughter, Susan Adele of Rapid City, SD; eight grandchildren; and one sister-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her husband Victor in 1990, her parents, and two brothers.A00003B1999MR17
