Karlstad - Dorothy Kurowski, 54, died Monday, February 16, 1998 at the Karlstad Memorial Nursing Center.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, February 19 at 10 a.m. at St. Edward's Catholic Church in Karlstad with Father Bob Schreiner officiating. Special music was provided by soloist Janet Nysetvold and organist Corienne Jacobson. Ben Kleinwachter was the reader. Amanda Kurowski and Andrea Hodge were the giftbearers. Mark and Brian Kleinwachter were the servers. Casketbearers were Erik Finney, Keith Finney, William Borowicz, David Kujava, Gary Kostrzewski and Floyd Blazejewski. Interment was in St. Edward's Catholic Cemetery in Strandquist. Arrangements were with the Collins Funeral Home of Karlstad.
Dorothy Mae Kurowski was born on September 2, 1943 in Wright township near Florian, the daughter of Rose and August Kurowski. She attended public school in Karlstad and was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith. Due to health problems, Dorothy lived first at the Kittson Memorial Nursing Home and since November of 1974, at the Karlstad Memorial Nursing Center.
Dorothy is survived by her mother, Rose Olson of Lake Bronson; two sisters, Mary of Karlstad and Sandra Hodge of Lake Bronson; three brothers, Robert of Karlstad; Paul of Lake Bronson and James of Hillsboro, ND; four nieces and one nephew; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her father; stepfather, Willie Olson; grandparents; two brothers, David and August; and her twin sister, Delores.
