- Edward S. Kraemer, 84, formerly of Thief River Falls, died
Saturday, October 14, 2000 at Blake Medical Center in Bradenton,
Fla.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, October 28, at 1 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted with Father Paul L. Wolf officiating. Interment with military rites were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 30, at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Chilson Funeral Home of Winsted was in charge of the arrangements.
Edward S. Kraemer was born on July 10, 1916 in St. Paul, the son of Matthew and Reginia (Kukuska) Kraemer.
He served in the United States Army during World War II and was honorably discharged as a staff sergeant.
On February 16, 1942, Edward was united in marriage to Lovanell McClintock at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. The couple had three daughters. Lovanell died in 1984.
For 12 years, he owned and operated Kraemer Motors, a Ford dealership, in Winsted.
He was a past commander and lifetime member of VFW Post 5903 and a former member of American Legion Post 407 in Winsted. He also belong to the McLeod County DFL and was a Coin & Stamp Club member.
Edward is survived by his wife, Sylvia McKinstry Kraemer of Bradenton, Fla.; three daughters, Camella (Joseph) O'Brien of Maple Grove, Rebecca Schmieg of Golden Valley and Cynthia (Bob) Berg of Howard Lake; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers, Daniel Kraemer and Andrew Kraemer, both of River Falls, Wisc. and David Kraemer of Webster, Wisc.; two sisters, Mary Ann (Clyde) Schorn of River Falls, Wisc. and Rose Schmitz of Long Lake; and many other relatives.
In addition to his first wife, Edward was preceded in death by his second wife, Florence McCartan Kraemer; his parents; and a sister, Bertha Tyler. A00003B2000NV01
