Inga Koland, 99

Moorhead - Inga Koland, 99, died Sunday, February 28, 1999 at Eventide Lutheran Home in Moorhead.

Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday, March 3) at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead. Interment will be in City Cemetery in Stephen.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 2 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to services at the church.

Inga A. Kittelson was born on September 7, 1899 in Duxby township of Minnesota, the daughter of Thomas and Signe (Swenson) Kittelson. She grew up and attended school at Swift.

On May 2, 1918 Inga married Torkel Koland at Stephen. They made their home in Stephen and had been married for 64 years at the time of Torkel's death in 1982. Inga had lived at the Eventide Living Center and for the past two months had been a resident of Eventide Nursing Home.

She is survived by three sons, Thomas (Mildred) of Brooklyn Center, George "Ted" (Delores) of Pelican Rapids, and John "Jack" (Isabell) of Lake Park; four daughters, Norma (Martyn) Albright of Seal Beach, CA, Eunice (Kenneth) Plunkett of Naples, FL, Mary (Morris) Hanson of Goodyear, AZ, and Judith (Tom) Pinkerton of Thief River Falls; 32 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Torkel; one daughter, Margaret; one son, Donald; her parents; one granddaughter, Bonnie Koland; and one great-grandson, Daniel Dudley. A00003B1999MR03
