
Stephen - Curtis Knutson, 44, died Thursday, January 28, 1999 at North Valley Health Center in Warren.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 1 at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Stephen. Interment was in St. Stephen Cemetery in Stephen. The Quanrud-DuBore Funeral Home of Warren was in charge of the arrangements.
Curtis Knutson was born on December 15, 1954 in Karlstad, the son of Reuben and Alice (Nelson) Knutson. He was a lifelong resident of the Stephen community where he attended and graduated from Stephen High School. He also attended the Area Vocational Technical Institute in Thief River Falls for two years.
On May 14, 1983 he was united in marriage to Karen Deschene at Argyle. The couple made their home in Stephen where Curtis worked for Farmers Grain Elevator.
He was Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Bishop Corbett Council of Argyle and was a former member of the Stephen Volunteer Ambulance. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Curtis is survived by his wife, Karen; two children, Jason and Michaela, both at home; his mother, Alice Knutson of Stephen; one sister LaVonne Mimberg of Brooklyn, NY; and several aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his father.
