Rueben Klein, 80

Milwaukee, WI - Rueben Klein, 80, formerly of Thief River Falls died Friday, August 15, 1997 at the Veterans Hospital in Milwaukee, WI.

Funeral services were held Thursday, August 21 at Green Funeral Home in Thief River Falls with Pastor John Wollenzien officiateing. Grace Hammer provided the music for the service. Burial was held at Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls.

Rueben Leonard Klein was born on April 28, 1917 in Norden township, Pennington County, the son of Frances and Bertha (Swenson) Klein. He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church and attended City View school in rural Thief River Falls. Rueben worked on the family farm before entering the service during World War II. Following his honorable discharge, Rueben worked at a foundary as a bend braker in Milwaukee, WI until his retirement. Reuben continued to live in Milwaukee until the time of his death.

He enjoyed his pets, planting trees on his property and spending time with his family and friends.

Rueben is survived by one brother, Al Klein of Des Plaines, IL; four sisters, Gladys Bakke of Boise, ID, Evelyn Klein of Sacramento, CA, Amelia Elofson of Grand Forks, ND and Ruth (Ray) Oen of Thief River Falls; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
