Opal was born on May 11, 1904. She married Herman A. Kjos on September 2, 1974 at Prince George, British Columbia, Canada. Following their marriage, the couple made their home in Thief River Falls. Opal returned to Sundre after Herman's death in 1991.
Survivors include one son, three daughters and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
