
Red Lake Falls - Magdalene Kirschman, 90, of Red Lake Falls died on Friday, May 23, l997 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls.
Mass of Christian burial was held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 30 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls with Father Gary LaMoine officiating. Marjorie Schafer was the organist, and St. Joseph's Church Choir provided special music. Casketbearers were Donnavin Linnertz, Ronnie Kees, Bob Scafer, Omer Sauve, Sylvester Johanneck and Leonard Ford. The Petterson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Magdalene Mary Kirschman was born January 27, 1907 in Red Lake County, the daughter of Michael and Caroline (Useldinger) Kees. She was raised and attended school in Red Lake County. On July 15, 1942, she was united in marriage to Lyle Kirschman in Red Lake Falls where the couple continued to make their home. They owned the Vogue Cleaners for three years and farmed near Red Lake Falls. Magdalene was a member of St. Anne's, Catholic Daughters and Foresters and St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls. She enjoyed being a homemaker and seamstress.
She is survived by one sister, Ann Linnertz of Red Lake Falls; sister-in-law, Louise Kees of Red Lake Falls; and several nieces and nephews.
Magdalene was preceded in death by her husband in 1971; her parents; and four brothers, John, Joseph, Lawrence and Bernard.
