
Red Lake Falls - Jane King, 65, Red Lake Falls, died on Saturday, April 12, 1997, at United Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. Arrangements were with Petterson Funeral Home in Red Lake Falls.
Mass of Christian burial was held Tuesday, April 15 in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls, with Father Gary Lamoine officiating. Burial will be held in the Calvary Cemetery in Crookston.
Jane Katherine (Ford) King was born June 1, 1931, daughter of the late Robert and Catherine (Schmidt) Ford in Browns Creek township near Red Lake Falls. She was raised on a farm there and attended school in Red Lake Falls. She was united in marriage to Edward W. King in September of 1947. They moved to Euclid where they were engaged in farming. In 1968, they moved into Red Lake Falls where she worked at the local meat locker for several years. Jane was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls and past member of the VFW.
She is survived by three sons, Walter of South St. Paul, Ronald and special friend Susan Sylvester of Crookston, Michael of Apple Valley; seven daughters, JoAnn of Harrison, OH, Susan Lehrer and husband Joel of Red Lake Falls, Janet Amberson of Fort Collins, CO, Peggy Kalinoski and husband David of Michigan, ND, Nancy Amberson and husband Eddie of Red Lake Falls, Joyce Paquin and husband Allen of Oklee, and Donna Harmon and husband Tom of Fort Collins, CO; 14 grandchildren; three brothers, Francis, Patrick and Arnold Ford of Red Lake Falls; two sisters Eileen Stancyk of Angus, and Margaret Fournier and husband Louis of Crookson.
She is preceded in death by an infant son Charles, her parents, husband Edward on December 17, 1990, and one brother John Henry Ford.
