
Thief River Falls - Anna King, 96, died on Friday, January 9, 1998 at the CNC Unit of Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls.
Funeral services were held Monday, January 12 at 10:30 a.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church in St. Hilaire with Reverend Terri Skildum officiating. Grace Hammer was the organist and soloist. Casketbearers were Michael Hogenson, Marty Hogenson, Murray Hogenson, Myles Hogenson, Marc Hogenson and Tom Tobin Jr. Burial was at Riverside Cemetery, rural Thief River Falls. The Green Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Anna Rosette was born January 21, 1901 in Bricelyn, the daughter of Lars and Joanna (Mork) Rosette. She moved with her family to Germantown in 1912. Anna was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was raised and attended school in the Germantown area.
Anna was united in marriage to John Joseph King at St. Hilaire in 1939. The couple made their home in Sanders township of Pennington County. John died on October 16, 1955, and Anna moved into Thief River Falls. Anna worked at United Hospital and Valley Home in Thief River Falls for many years. She resided at Valley Home, Oakland Park Nursing Home and since January 1, 1997 at CNC of Northwest Medical Center.
She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church of St. Hilaire and the ladies aid.
Anna is survived by two daughters, Gladys (Lloyd) Hogenson of Thief River Falls and Joyce (Tom) Tobin of Leawood, KS; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
She was preceded by her husband John; parents; two sons, Dean and John; four brothers, Ludvig, Selmer, Edwin and Andrew; and one sister, Louise Wik.
