Gresham, OR - Alfred Kile, 74, died Friday, February 11, 2000 in Gresham, OR.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, February 17 at Welches Lutheran Church in Welches, OR. Interment was in Williamette National Cemetery in Portland with the Sandy Funeral Home of Sandy, Oregon in charge of the arrangements.
Alfred Oleen Kile was born on February 7, 1926 in Parker township of Marshall county, the son of Knute and Bertha (Olson) Kile.
On November 24, 1949 he married Regina Fischer of Orrin, ND at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in East Grand Forks. After the couple divorced in 1964, he married Carolyn Johnson Craft in 1965 in Couer 'd Alene, ID.
Alfred was a deputy sheriff in Kittson county and worked for many years in the auto body shop industry in Grand Forks and Cavalier, ND, Hallock and Ellensburg, WA. He later did insurance appraisals.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn; three sons, Alfred (Betty) of West Linn, OR, Donald of Portland, OR and Robert (Sofia) of Crookston; three daughters, Jacqueline Ann (Dave) Hager of Idaho Falls, ID, Colleen (Ron) Jepson of Gresham, OR and Angie (Matt) Kulu; one stepson, Mark Craft of Nevis; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Earl (Becky) Ryan of Strandquist; one sister, Arlene Ryan (Clay) Long of Stephen; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Alfred was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Clareance "Red Top." A00003B2000FB23
