Plummer - Memorial services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 28 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Plummer for Arlene Kelly. Reverend Clarence Johnson officiated. Effy Byer was the organist, and a duet was sung by Judy Carlson And Judy Olson. Burial was held in the Emardville Cemetery near Plummer. The Petterson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Arlene Kelly, 63, died on arrival at Northwestern Medical Center in Thief River Falls on Monday, June 23, l997.
Arlene Kristine Kelly was born July 17, l933 at Aneta, ND the daughter of John and Asta (Sennerud) Fossum. Arlene moved to Plummer in l944, graduated from Plummer High School in l951 and was employed by the Plummer State Bank for 28 years. For the past three years, she enjoyed taking care of the elderly while employed by Valley Home in Thief River Falls. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary as a Gold Star Sister and an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
She is survived by one son, Paul of Lincoln, NE; one daughter, Karin (Jerry) Hanson of Thief River Falls; special friend, Gerald Toulouse; four grandchildren; one brother, Arthur (Gloria) Fossum; and three sisters, Evelyn (Kenneth) Schweitzer of Carrington, ND, Asta Westerlund of Middle River and Johanna (Walter) Raedel of Thief River Falls.
Arlene was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Kairsten Fossum.
