Louis Keller Jr., 84

Middle River - Louis Keller Jr., 84, died Wednesday, July 14, 1999 at Sheltering Oaks Nursing Home in Roseau.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 16 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Thief Lake with Pastor John Jorgensen officiating. Pat Hanson was the organist, and the soloist was Mary Jorgensen. Casketbearers were Louie's nephews, Ernest Beito, Louis Beito, Donald Beito, Kean Beito, Harold Beito and Eugene Beito. Interment was in First Lutheran Cemetery in Middle River. The Collins Funeral Home of Middle River was in charge of the arrangements.

Louis Keller Jr. was born on December 1, 1914 in Poplar Grove township of Roseau county near Strathcona, the son of Louis and Tillie (Kruta) Keller. He attend school and grew up near Strathcona and was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.

For many years, Louie farmed in Thief Lake township of Marshall county near Middle River. He was also employed at Polaris Industries in Roseau until retiring in 1980.

Louie moved to Thief River Falls and lived there for several years, and at the time of his death, he was residing at Sheltering Oaks Nursing Home in Roseau.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge and ZCBJ Lodge. An avid outdoorsman, he especially enjoyed hunting and trapping.

Louie is survived by one sister, Violet Gust of Roseau, and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers-in-law.
