
Drayton, N.D. - Rita J. Kasprowicz, 48, died Tuesday, July 18, 2000 at Valley Memorial-Woodside in Grand Forks, N.D.
Funeral services
were held at
10:30 a.m. on
Friday, July 21, at St. Edward's Catholic Church in Drayton with
Father William Ovsak and Father George Lommel officiating. Cecelia
Landowski was the organist, and special music was provided by Karen
Schumacher, Barb Visness, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Borowicz and St.
Edward's Choir. Casketbearers were Rita's brothers and sisters: Barb
Visness, Paulette Tunheim, Patty Fugleberg, Francis Kuznia, Tim
Kuznia and Scott Kuznia. Interment was in Assumption Catholic
Cemetery in Florian with Adamson-Austin Funeral Home of Drayton in
charge of the arrangements.
Rita Joan Kuznia was born on January 25, 1952 at Warren, the daughter of Ambrose and Antoinette (Borowicz) Kuznia. She grew up on the family farm near Strandquist and graduated from Strandquist High School in 1970. While in high school, she was active in the school's drama department and received several awards for acting.
On February 7, 1970, she married Richard Kasprowicz at Florian. They made their home at Drayton, N.D., and Rita worked at the Developmental Center at Grafton, N.D. She was later employed as a secretary at E.W. Wylie Co. in Drayton. Richard died on July 9, 1977.
Rita was a member of St. Edward's Catholic Church of Drayton. She also curled for many years and was a member of the Drayton Curling Club.
Survivors include two daughters, Tracy (Michael) Emanuelson and Jennifer Kasprowicz, both of Drayton; four grandchildren; her parents, Ambrose and Antoinette Kuznia of Strandquist; three sisters, Barb (Terry) Visness of Drayton, Patty (Jim) Fugleberg of Greenbush and Paulette (Vince) Tunheim of River Falls, Wisc.; three brothers, Francis (Marcia) Kuznia of Warren, Tim (Pat) Kuznia of Aurora and Scott (Tammy) Kuznia of Strandquist; and many nieces, nephew and cousins.
Rita is also survived by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Sylvester and Clara Kasprowicz of Warren; one sister-in-law; and four brothers-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, and her grandparents. A00003B2000JL26
