Emma Kalbakdalen, 89
Thief River Falls - Emma Kalbakdalen, 89, died Sunday, January 9, 2000 at Oakland Park Nursing Home in Thief River Falls.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 15 at Green Funeral Home in Thief River Falls. Special music will be provided by the Trochmann Family. Burial will be in Rindal Cemetery in New Solum township of Marshall county.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m until the time of the service on Saturday.
Emma Otmar was born on July 11, 1019 in Dubenau, Czechoslovakia, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Otmar. She grew up in Lankin, ND.
In 1936 she was united in marriage to Ernest Trochmann, and the couple resided in the Thief River Falls/Viking area. Ernest died on August 31, 1965. Emma married Helmer Kalbakdalen of Rosewood in 1970. He died in 1995.
She enjoyed baking and working in her garden.
Emma is survived by three sons, Richard Trochmann of Minnetonka and John and David Trochmann, both of Noxon, MT; three brothers, George Otmar of Grand Forks, ND, Joe Otmar of Salinas, CA and Victor Otmar of Planada, CA; and numerous grandchildren. A00003B2000JA12
