
Red Lake Falls - Dorothy Juneau, 87, died Friday, May 8, 1998 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls.
Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, May 11 at 2 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls with Father Gary LaMoine officiating. Kathie Knott was the organist, and special music was provided by St. Joseph's Church Choir. Casketbearers were Daniel Juneau, Donald Juneau, Robert Juneau, Clarence Gagner, Clem Benoit and Steve Philion. Burial was in St. Anthony's Cemetery in Terrebonne. The Petterson Funeral Home of Red Lake Falls was in charge of the arrangements.
Dorothy Junuea was born on October 29, 1910 in Garnes township of Red Lake county, the daughter of Alcime and Georgiana (LaFave) Juneau. She was raised and attended school in Garnes township. She farmed near Brooks until 1954 when she moved to Red Lake Falls. She worked at the hospital in Red Lake Falls for 17 years until her retirement.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and its ladies guild.
Dorothy is survived by two sisters, Rose Juneau of Red Lake Falls and Clara (George) Tessier of Downey, CA; one brother, Joseph Juneau of Brooks; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Alcime, John and Edward; and one sister, Mathilda Juneau.
