Darel A. Josephson was born on July 22, 1921 near Austin, the son of Alfred and Sadie (Roberts) Josephson. In 1923 he moved with his family to Goodridge. He graduated from Goodridge High School. In 1940 he moved to California to work for his uncle in a brake shop.
He served in the U.S. Air Force in the Far East during World War II. After the war he returned to California. He married Irene Slotto.
Darel is survived by his wife, Irene; two sons, Lonnie and Bryan; one daughter, Susan; two grandchildren; and two brothers, Charles and Lynn Josephson, both of Thief River Falls.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Dan; and one son, Jerry who died in the Viet Nam Conflict.
