Thief River
Falls - June Jorde, 71, died Tuesday, January 11, 2000 at
McIntosh Manor Nursing Home in McIntosh. 
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 14 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls. Ida Nordvall was the organist, and the soloist was LeRoy Aasland. Casketbearers were Donald Jorde, Harold Halvorson, Lee Johnson and Curtis Johnson. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. The Green Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
June Ramona Pedersen was born on August 16, 1928 in Gary, the daughter of August and Sylvia (Oakland) Pedersen. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith and attended school in Gary. June worked for several Gary area farm families and later moved to Plummer with her family.
She was united in marriage to Clarence Jorde on June 3, 1956 in Thief River Falls. The couple made their home in Excel township of Marshall county, farming small grains and milking cows. After Clarence died on February 19, 1985, June continued to make her home on the family farm until moving to McIntosh Manor in December of 1999.
She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking, baking and spending time with her family.
June is survived by two daughters, Sandra Kvien of Grand Forks, ND and Vicki (Charles) Turner of Thief River Falls; two grandsons; two brothers, Allan Pedersen of Arizona and Clyde (Diane) Pedersen of Finley, ND; four sisters, Inez Smith, Connie Kates, Shirley (Dennis) Collins and Mabel Pedersen, all of Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; three brothers, Leslie, Jimmy and Leonard; and one sister, Myrtle. A00003B2000JA19
