2000.
A memorial mass was held on Tuesday, June 13, at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Englewood. The Lemon Bay Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
David R. Joppru was born on June 18, 1940 in Thief River Falls. He was retired after 22 years in the U.S. Military as a Master Sergeant. He moved to the Englewood, Fla. area seven years ago after living in Eau Claire, Wisc. He was a past member of American Legion Post 234 and VFW Post 8203, both in North Port.
Survivors include his wife, Rosalie; three sons, David of Cadott, Wisc., Mark (Paula) of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. and Eric of Ferndale, Mich.; his mother, Gertie Johnson of Thief River Falls; one brother, Andrew (Jeanie) of Thief River Falls; one sister, Susan (Dale) Wall of Hampton, Neb.; and two grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his father, Olaf Joppru, and one sister, Sandra Nelson. A00003B2000JN14
