T. Jones, 72Warren - Robert T. Jones, 72, died Wednesday, July 22, 1998 at his home in Warren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 25 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Warren. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery in Warren. The Quanrud-DuBore Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Robert Troy Jones was born on January 30, 1926 in Park River, ND. He attended school in Grafton, ND. As a young man, he moved with his family to the Warren area. Robert served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany in 1955.
Robert married Delores Olson on October 17, 1953. Delores died on August 2, 1964. On January 4, 1965 he married Darla Conely. Robert farmed in rural Warren. He retired from active farming in 1985.
He was a member of the Warren school board, Our Savior's Lutheran Church and its council, and for 10 years, the TriRiver Cooperative Center in Warren. He was also a member of the Warren American Legion Post #27 and the Baudette Moose Lodge #742.
Bob is survived by his wife, Darla; four sons, Robbie (Hazel) of McIntosh, Rodney of Warren, Brian (Kathy) of Thief River Falls and Gale (Michelle) of Saginaw, TX; two daughters, Brenda Hermann of Dilworth and Gerri (Pete) Frey of Orange, CA; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Ruth (Lloyd) Omdahl of Grand Forks, ND; and one brother, Richard (Jeanette) Jones of Argyle.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Donald; and one sister, Margaret.
