Myrtle Johnson, 82

Independence, Mo. - Myrtle Johnson, 82, died Friday, August 18, 2000 at her home in Independence, Mo.

Services were held on Tuesday, August 22, at George C. Carson & Sons Independence Chapel. Burial was in Mound Grove Cemetery in Independence.

Myrtle Jensen was born on December 10, 1917 in Redwood county, the daughter of Jens and Ida Jensen. On November 26, 1942, she married Louie Johnson at Starke, Fla.

Myrtle taught school in northern Minnesota for six years and was a sales representative for Avon for 38 years.

Survivors include her husband, Louie; two sons, Jim Johnson of Terino, Wash. and Jay (Dana) Johnson of Garden Valley, Mo.; one daughter, Genye (Michael) Patter of Blue Spring, Mo.; five grandchildren; one sister, Alyce Sevre of St. Hilaire; one brother, Leonard (Ardith) Jensen of Minneapolis; and several nieces and nephews.

Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and two brothers. A00003B2000SP13
