
Lynden Johnson, 57
Karlstad - Lynden D. Johnson, 57, died Tuesday, March 7, 2000 at the Karlstad Group Home.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 10, at First Lutheran Church in Karlstad with Rev. Gary Halverson officiating. Corienne Jacobson was the organist, and vocalists were Paula Olsen and Jennifer Mutnansky and Aubree, Julia and Nevada Wilson. Casketbearers were Brandon Norberg, Rodger Lindgren, Palmer Hallberg, Greg Larson, Mike Nelson, Shawn Collins and Roger Jacobson. Interment was in Eidsvold Cemetery in Halma. The Collins Funeral Home of Karlstad was in charge of the arrangements.
Lynden Delano Johnson was born on June 8, 1942 at Hallock, the son of Henry O. and Esther (Anderson) Johnson. He grew up and attended school in the Halma community and was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Lynden moved to the Valley Group Home, now the Karlstad Group Home, when it was built in 1974 and continued to make his home there until the time of his death.
Survivors include his stepmother, Marion Johnson of Karlstad; one brother, Marvin (Doris) of Halma; one sister, Lola (Loren) Germundson of Karlstad; two stepbrothers, Duane McNatton of St. Paul and Dean (Cheryl) McNatton of Bismarck, ND; one stepsister, Bonnie Carlson of Dilworth; his family at the Karlstad Group Home; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
Lynden was preceded in death by his parents. A00003B2000MR15
