Strathcona - Jerome M. Johnson, 56, died April 4 1997. Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 9 at Gustaf Adolph Lutheran Church in Strathcona. Interment was at Greenwood Cemetery in Strathcona.
Jerome Milton Johnson, the son of the late William and Otelia (Coltom) Johnson, was born on August 15, 1940, at Greenbush. He grew to manhood in the Strathcona community and was baptized and confirmed at the Gustaf Adolph Lutheran Church in Strathcona where he was a life-long member. He was currently serving as president of his church council, served as Huntly Township Treasurer, and was president of the Marshall County Historical Society. He was employed at Arctic Enterprises in Thief River Falls for a number of years, and also worked as a farm laborer in the area.
Jerome passed away unexpectedly at his home in Huntly township on Friday evening, April 4.
He is survived by two brothers, Lester of Moorhead, and Curtiss of Strathcona; in addition to several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
