
Minneapolis - Donald L. Johnson, 61, died Monday, January 12, 1998 at the University Good Samaritan Home in Minneapolis.
Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, January 21 at 10 a.m. at the Collins Funeral Chapel in Greenbush with Pastor Ernest Christensen officiating. Joan Haugen will be the organist, and Marie Olson will be the vocalist. Interment will be at Bethel Lutheran Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by the Greenbush American Legion Post 88.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the chapel. The Collins Funeral Home of Greenbush is in charge of the arrangements.
Donald L. Johnson was born to Leo and Mary (Botoshe) Johnson on December 9, 1936 at Greenbush. He attended school and grew to manhood in the Greenbush community and was baptized and confirmed at Bethel Lutheran Church in Greenbush. Donald served with the U.S. Army in Viet Nam and following his discharge made his home in Minneapolis where he was employed as a plumber. He married Cheryl Brisbane at Minneapolis.
Donald is survived by his wife, Cheryl; two stepchildren, David and Sherri, both of Minneapolis; two brothers, Norbert (Paulette) of Greenbush and James (Karen) of Roseville; one sister, Leona (Frank) Emery of Greenbush; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Ardell in childhood.
