Elishia Jerome, 89
Thief River Falls - Elishia C. Jerome, 89, formerly of Hallock, died Friday, March 17, 2000 at the CNC unit of Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 24, at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls with Father Dennis Wieland officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Hallock.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. wake service on Thursday, March 23, at Green Funeral Home in Thief River Falls. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
Elishia "Marie" Catherine Breyer was born on April 10, 1910 in Calvin of Cavalier county in North Dakota, the daughter of William and Marie (Tessier) Breyer.
On November 12, 1935, she was united in marriage to Edward Louis Jerome at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Hallock. The couple made their home in Hallock until 1963 when they moved to Crookston and later to Thief River Falls. Elishia worked in food service for many years.
She was active in church and Cub Scout events.
Survivors include three daughters, Margaret Ann (Gordon) Peterson of Thief River Falls, Marcella Jerome of St. Paul and Marlene Jerome of Minneapolis; two sons, Gerald (Cheryl) Jerome of Portland, OR and Joseph (Lynn) Jerome of Gulfport, FL; one sister, Evelyn Korynta of Grand Forks, ND; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers including two in infancy and one granddaughter. A00003B2000MR22
