
Milton, N.D. - Kathleen A. Hunter, 53, died Sunday, September 10, 2000 at Maple Manor Nursing Home in Langdon, N.D.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 14, at Milton (N.D.) Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to services. Casketbearers will be Bill Eagleson, Greg Gustafson, Duane McKay, Maynard Buck, Kenny Niemela and Kenneth Porter.
Interment will be held on Friday, September 15, at 2 p.m. at Holt City Cemetery in Holt. A luncheon will follow the burial service at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Holt. The Tollefson Funeral Home of Edinburg, N.D. is in charge of the arrangements.
Kathleen A. Praska was born on July 30, 1947 at Park River, N.D., the daughter of Albert G. and Katherine (Houser) Praska. She grew up and attended schools in Holt and Newfolden, graduating in 1965. She attended the Area Vocational Technical Institute in Thief River Falls. Following her education, she worked at the Thief River Falls Clinic and First Federal Savings and Loan.
On August 15, 1970, Kathleen married Robert Hunter in Holt, and the couple made their home in Milton, N.D. She worked at the Milton Schools, Harvest States Elevator, Milton Hartz Store and for the last 10 years as City Auditor. She had also been an Avon representative for the past 30 years.
Kathleen is survived by her husband, Robert; her mother, Katherine Praska of the Good Samaritan Center in Osnabrock, N.D.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins, including her niece, Debra Niemela of Thief River Falls.
She was preceded in death by her father and brother, David.
