Ronald Horachek, 44

Tuscarora, NV - Ronald Horachek, 44, formerly of Goodridge, died unexpectedly on Saturday, April 3, 1999 at Elko General Hospital in Elko, NV.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 8 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Goodridge with Father Dennis Wieland officiating. Special music will be provided by St. Ann's Choir. Casketbearers will be Rodney Stavenes, Ronald Kotrba, Donald Kotrba, Donald Vraa, Brian Solberg, Arlen Marquis and Gerald Johnsrud.

Visitation will be held today (Wednesday, April 7) from 3 to 8 p.m. at Green Funeral Home Chapel in Thief River Falls with a Biblical wake at 7 p.m. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.

Ronald George Horachek was born on January 8 1955 in Thief River Falls, the son of George and Donna Mae (Lee) Horachek. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Goodridge and attended Goodridge schools, graduating in 1973. Following high school he studied welding for a year at the Area Vocational Technical Institute in Thief River Falls.

On October 5, 1973 Ronald was united in marriage to Joyce Stavnes at Grygla. The couple lived in Goodridge until 1977 when they moved to a farm in rural Goodridge. In 1979 they moved to Thief River Falls where he worked at a number of various jobs.

During the 1980's Ronald moved west. He worked in Idaho and for the past five years has ranched on the Wright Ranch in Tuscarora, NV.

Ronald is survived by two daughters, Kristy Nichole Horachek of Fargo, ND and April Sjoval of Strandquist; one son, Ryan Anthony Horachek of Goodridge; his mother, Donna Horachek of Goodridge; special companion, Cindy Allmon of Tuscarora, NV; three sisters, Katherine Siverling of Stevens Point, WI, Beverly Horachek of Minneapolis and Valerie Horachek of Goodridge; four brothers, Douglas (Heidi) Horachek of Goodridge, Gregory of Phoenix, AZ, Vincent (Cherlyn) of Wannaska and John of Alma Center, WI; six nieces and nephews and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1978, his grandparents, and one brother in infancy. A00003B1999AR07
