Warren - Bernice V. Hoberg, 84, died Sunday, March 23, 1997 at the Warren Hospital in Warren. Arrangements are with Stennes Funeral Home of Climax.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 26 at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Newfolden at 2 p.m. Visitation was held Tuesday, March 25 from 5 to 7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service at the Stennes Funeral Home and also for two hours prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery of Newfolden.
Bernice was born on August 25, 1912 in Newfolden, the daughter of Ole and Martha (Tvedt) Johnson. She grew up and attended school in Newfolden. She married Harvey Hoberg on October 28, 1939 in Newfolden. They farmed south of Newfolden. Following the death of her husband in November of 1986 she moved to Climax. On October 22, 1993 she moved to Warren.
She is survived by daughter De Etta (Lawrence) Gunderson of Climax; three grandchildren; sisters Adella Lindquist of Anoka and Evelyn Elseth of Thief River Falls; sisters-in-law Amy Johnson of Halstad and Delores Johnson of Thief River Falls.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; six brothers infant Bert, Bert, Oscar, Elmer, Harold, George; and sisters Minnie and Helda.
