Eagle Creek, OR - Lou Ann Hoard, 37, formerly of Thief River Falls, died Monday, March 23, 1998 at Portland Adventist Hospital in Portland, OR.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 28 at 2 p.m. at the Roseau Free Lutheran Church with Reverend Rodney Stueland officiating. Interment was in Falun Cemetery, Roseau. The Helgeson Funeral Chapel of Roseau was in charge of the arrangements.
Lou Ann Morken was born on March 10, 1961 in Roseau, the daughter of Gorman and Lillian (Markstrom) Morken. She grew up and attended school in Roseau and Northland Community College in Thief River Falls. For several years she lived in various towns in northern Minnesota and later in Thief River Falls for several years.
On March 30, 1995 she was united in marriage to Jeffrey Hoard at Thief River Falls. The couple moved to Eagle Creek, OR in 1995 where they have since resided.
Lou Ann is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Hoard of Eagle Creek, OR; six children, Jessie, Tara and Stephanie Hoard and Andrew, Mark and Jenny Beito, all of Eagle Creek, OR; one grandson; her father, Gorman Morken of Greenbush; and one sister, Alice (David) Kemp of Roseau.
She was preceded in death by her mother and an infant brother.
