Amanda Hinden, 91

Thief River Falls - Amanda Hinden, 91, died on Saturday, June 21, l997 at the CNC Unit of Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, June 24 at 2 p.m. at New Life Assembly of God Church with Reverend Sandy Stevenson officiating. Vi Barr was the organist. Soloist Rhoda Wengeler sang "Nearing the Shore" nad "Just a Closer Walk with Thee". Casketbearers were Tom Molskness, Allen Molskness, Loren Molskness, Larry Molskness, Leslie Molskness, Lyle Molskness, Donald Molskness, George Irvin, Kenny Irvin, Vernon Russum and John Russum.

Amanda Olivia Molskness was born August 29, l905 at Hillsboro, ND the daughter of John and Sina (Kaldor) Molskness. She was baptized and confirmed and later moved to Polk Centre township, Pennington County where she attended Black River School.

She was united in marriage to Conrad Hinden on October 19, l935. The couple made their home in Thief River Falls before moving to East Grand Forks. Amanda was a a member of Assemblies of God Church in Grand Forks where she was a Sunday school teacher. Following Conrad's death in l983, she moved back to Thief River Falls. She lived at the Skylight Apartments before moving to Valley Home in l984.

Amanda is survived by three sisters, Magda Russum of Grafton, ND, Signe Jorgenson and Dagny Irvin, both of Thief River Falls; six brothers, Bernard (Ora) of Centralia, WA, Henry (Francis), Maynard (Irene), Clarence (Juliette), Raymond (Arlene) and Gerhard, all of Thief River Falls; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Donald and her parents.
