Braham - Archie Hensrud, 87, died July 13, 1998 at the Cambridge Health Center of Cambridge.
Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21 at the Ness Lutheran Church in Meckinock, ND. Interment was in the Ness Lutheran Church Cemetery. Arrangements were with the Rock-Mankie Funeral Home in Braham.
Archie Wilbur Hensrud was born on April 18, 1911 in Meckinock, ND, the son of John and Moline Hensrud. He graduated from Grand Forks Central High School in Grand Forks, ND.
In 1933 he was united in marriage to Doris E. Mather of Gilby, ND. The couple made their home in Thief River Falls until 1952 when they moved to Stephen. They later moved to Kennedy. When Archie semi-retired in 1974, the couple moved to Shakopee where they lived until moving to Braham in 1990.
Archie is survived by one son, Dwight (Margaret) Hensrud of Bloomington; two daughters, Myrtle (Tom) Potrament of Braham and Catherine (Harold) Anderson of Shakopee; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Clarice Omang of Grand Forks, ND, Marion (Rueben) Johnson of Harlowton, MT, Phyllis (Jerry) McIntyre, Inez Ruppender of Billings, MT and Eloise (Al) Tharwaldson of Billings, MT; and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris; his parents; three brothers and two sisters.
