Gladys Henrickson, 90

Roseau - Gladys Melvina Henrickson, 90, died Wednesday, April 23, at the Sheltering Oaks Nursing Home in Roseau.

Gladys Melvina Henrickson, the daughter of the late Charlie and Mable (Fish) Taylor, was born May 14, 1906, near Newfolden. She attended school in Newfolden and Strandquist. On May 24, 1924, she was united in marriage to Frank Kujava at Newfolden. The couple farmed near Strandquist until Frank's death in 1928. On July 11, 1930, she married Raynold Henrickson at Thief River Falls and they lived and farmed in West Valley township of Marshall county, south of Strandquist. Ray passed away February 13, 1986 and for the past seven years, she has resided at the Sheltering Oaks Nursing Home in Roseau.

She is survived by two sons, Frank Kujava, Warren, and Daryl Hendrickson of Portland, OR; three daughters, Mabel, Mrs. Dick Lektzian, Auburn Hills, MI, Evelyn, Mrs. Richard Daniels, Jonesboro, AR, and Shelby, Mrs. Richard Baehr, Roseau; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother, John Taylor, Elk River, in addition to several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her first and second husbands, parents, two sons, Loyal and Howard, one daughter Margaret, six brothers, Pat, Francis, Jim, Eldon, Bill, and Jess, and three sisters, Bess, Lena, and Loretta.

Burial will be at Opdahl Cemetery in Newfolden.
