Mesa, AZ - Doris Hebert, 74, died Wednesday, February 2, 2000 at Mesa General Hospital in Mesa, AZ.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, February 7 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Argyle with Rev. August Gothman officiating. Sister Joanne Johnson was the organist, and the soloist was Meridith Walton.
Honorary casketbearers were Lillian and Raymond Miska, Daphine Olson, Marjorie Olson, Gilbert Olson, Emma Olson and Ted Voytilla. Casketbearers were Chad Johnson, Chris Johnson, Brent Walton, Steve Johnson, Brian Walton and Barry Walton. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery in Warren. The Quanrud-DuBore Funeral Home of Warren was in charge of the arrangements.
Doris Olson was born on March 4, 1925 at Warren, the daughter of John and Annie (Myrfield) Olson. She was raised and educated in the Warren area.
In May of 1944 Doris married LeVerne Johnson and the couple lived and worked on a farm in the Viking area. The couple had five children and moved to Warren where Doris worked at several businesses around town before owning and operating Johnson's Lunchroom. The couple separated in 1962.
In November of 1974 Doris married James Schantzen. They lived in Faribault, Middle River and Thief River Falls where she worked at Land O'Lakes until James died in December of 1988.
Doris married Alfred Hebert in October of 1991, and the couple made their home in Argyle and Mesa, AZ.
She was a volunteer health care driver for Marshall County Social Services and also provided volunteer care to many others in Mesa. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and also a member of the auxiliaries of the American Legion, Eagles and VFW.
Doris is survived by her husband, Alfred; two daughters, Sharon (Chuck) Walton of Middle River and Karolyn (Dan) Belcher of Dayton, NV; three sons, Gaylord (Joy) Johnson of Bismarck, ND, and Jerry Johnson and Randy Johnson, both of Las Vegas, NV; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Lillian (Raymond) Miska of Warren; one brother, Gilbert Olson of Newfolden; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; three sisters, Emma Peterson, Mabel Voytilla and Evelyn Olson; and five brothers, Freeman, James, Roy, Gordon and Oscar. A00003B2000FB09
