Philip, 49, and Brynn Hartman, 40

Encino, CA - A Service of Memory for Philip and Brynn Hartman, who died May 28 at their home in Encino, CA, was held June 4 at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Recessional at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, CA.

Father James Cavanagh officiated at the private family service and music was provided by Graham Nash.

Brynn Hartman (Vicki Jo Omdahl) was born April 11, 1958 in Thief River Falls, daughter of Don and Connie (Arnold) Omdahl. She attended Thief River Falls schools and later moved with her husband Doug Torfin to Arizona where both were employed by Bell Telephone Company.

Vicki later moved to California where she was a professional model and had several small acting jobs. She had her given name legally changed to Brynn while modeling in California.

She married Philip Hartman Nov. 25, 1987, in New York City and they lived there for eight years where he was a member of the cast of the "Saturday Night Live" television program. They moved to Encino, CA, about three years ago where Philip had a lead role in the television situation comedy "News Radio" and made several movies. Both were active in fund raisers for various charities and for their children's school.

Survivors include one son, Sean, 10 and one daughter, Birgen, 6; Brynn's parents, Don and Connie Omdahl of Thief River Falls; one brother, Greg (Kathy Myrold) Omdahl of Fargo, ND; two sisters, Debbie (Kevin) Borreson of Thief River Falls and Kathy (Mike) Wright of Eau Claire, WI; her paternal grandmother, Ruth Omdahl of Thief River Falls; five nieces and nephews and many uncles, aunts and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Olaf Omdahl; maternal grandparents, Kelly and Barb Arnold; and uncles Edward Arnold and James Omdahl.
