Roseau - Funeral services for Thorbjorn "Tubby" Hanson were held on Tuesday, June 2 at 3 p.m. at Rose Free Lutheran Church, rural Roseau, with Reverend Larry Severson officiating. Interment will be in the Moe-Rose Cemetery.
Thorbjorn Hanson died Monday, January 19 at Steinbach, Manitoba, Canada at the age of 82.
He is survived by his wife, Cleta Hanson of Excelsior Springs, MO; one son, T. Dale (Thea) Hanson of Albuquerque, NM; four daughters, Joanne (Robert) Kaiser of Mt. Lake, Carol Bruinsma of Idaho Falls, ID, Ruby Jean (Richard) Scott of Sacramento, CA and June (Robert John) Steffen of Lake Geneva, WI; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mildred (Leonard) Furuseth of Thief River Falls and Ruth Alexander of Mineola, TX; and one brother Irvin (Mary Lou) Hanson of Vancouver, WA.
