
McIntosh - Harriette Hagen Hanson, 81, died Wednesday, June 3, 1998 at First Care Hospital in Fosston.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 6 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in McIntosh with Reverend David Barker officiating. Diane Boucher was the organist, and soloist was Charles Svalen. Casketbearers were her grandsons, Randy Larson, Mike Larson, Scott Larson, Mark Hagen, Dan Hagen, Christopher Hagen, Craig Carver, Tim Benson and Chad Olson. Honorary casketbearers were members of the McIntosh VFW Auxiliary, Post 6891. Burial was in Our Savior's Lutheran Church Cemetery. The Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Harriette Jorgenson was born on February 6, 1917 in McIntosh, the daughter of Edward and Marie (Haugom) Jorgenson. She grew up and attended school in McIntosh and was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.
In 1936 she was united in marriage to Joseph Hagen, and the couple lived in McIntosh. Joseph died in September of 1956.
Harriette was married to Vernon Hanson in 1959 in Fosston, and they made their home in McIntosh. Vernon died in 1986. She had been a resident of the McIntosh Manor Nursing Home since August of 1996.
Harriette was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in McIntosh and was active in its Ladies' Aid. She was also a member of the McIntosh VFW Auxiliary Post 6891. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Harriette is survived by three daughters, Yvonne (Rudy) Larson of Fosston, Deanne (Gordy) Benson of Thief River Falls and Karen (Pat) Rolf of McIntosh; three sons, David (Judy) Hagen of McIntosh, Dick (Karen) Hagen of Minnetonka and Mars (Pam) Hagen of Apple Valley; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister-in-law, Sally Taflin of Fosston; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Joe Hagen and Vernon Hanson; parents; one son, Ronald Hagen; one daughter, Joanne Carver; and one brother, Mars Jorgenson.
