
Thief River Falls - Dale D. Hanson, 35, died Tuesday, September 7, 1999 at his home in Thief River Falls.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 10 at Sion Lutheran Church in Lancaster with Rev. Timothy Lundeen officiating. Special music was provided by Dianne Rice and Galen Nordin. Casketbearers were Roy Stewart, Robert Peterson, Todd Hoglo, Randy Erickson, Bruce Seaverson and Scott Daniels. Interment was in Riverview Memorial Garden Cemetery in Lancaster. The Hughes Funeral Home of Hallock was in charge of the arrangements.
Dale D. Hanson was born on August 31, 1964 in Hallock, the son of Marvin and Frances (Kukowski) Hanson. He grew up in Lancaster and graduated from Lancaster High School in 1982. He attended Northland Community College in Thief River Falls, graduating in 1984 with a degree in auto body mechanics.
Dale enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and completed basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas. He also trained at Chanute Air Base in Illinois and completed his service in the Philippines. When he returned home, he began employment at Arctco in Thief River Falls where he had worked for the past 14 years.
Dale is survived by a daughter, Alexis, and a son, James Marvin "Jack", both at home; his mother, Frances Hanson of Lancaster; one brother, Erick (Tammy) Hanson of Lancaster two sisters, Debby Hanson of Lake Bronson and Lisa (Jerry) Kalka of Cottage Grove; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin, who died in 1993.
