Newfolden - Adella Hanson, 79, died Wednesday, November 24, 1999 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.
Funeral services
were held at 
10:30 a.m. on
Saturday, November 27 at Green Funeral Home in Thief River Falls with
Rev. Marlin Bjornrud officiating. Karla Palkie was the organist, and
special music was provided by Mike and Karla Palkie. Casketbearers
were Earl Hanson, Floyd Hanson, Bennie Hanson, Ralph Hanson, Clarence
Hanson and Ernest Hanson. Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery in
Newfolden. The Green Funeral Home of Thief River Falls was in charge
of the arrangements.
Adella Esther Hanson was born on December 22, 1919 in Newfolden, the daughter of Hartvig and Tena (Anderson) Hanson. Adella was baptized by Rev. Thorvald Myhrer. She lived with her family in New Maine township of Marshall county until 1958 when she moved with her mother to Newfolden. In 1987 she made her home with her sister and brother-in-law, Beulah and Merle Bjornrud. From August of 1994 until February of 1999 Adella was a resident of the Karlstad Health Center. She then moved to a group home in Argyle.
Adella is survived by two sisters, Clara (Burlin) Jacobson of Cottage Grove and Beulah (Merle) Bjornrud of Newfolden; ten brothers, Carl of Puyallup, WA, John of Torrence, CA, Ernest of Newfolden, Clarence (Betty) of Fargo, ND, Ralph (DeVonna) of Mountain Iron, Arnie (Marlynn) of Redondo, Beach, CA, Earl (Janice) of Holt, Bennie (Lilly) of Newfolden, Floyd (DeEtta) of Newfolden and Alfred (Dorothy) of Denver, CO; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters-in-law.
