Spicer - Patricia "Trish" Halvorson, 43, died Sunday, October 18, 1998 at Hennepin County Medical Center following a short illness.
A memorial service was held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 24 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Willmar with Reverend Gary Mikkelson officiating. The Peterson Brothers Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Patricia Annette Flaten was born on August 11, 1955 in Warren, the daughter of Vernon and Alice (Kalgard) Flaten. She grew up in Warren and was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She graduated from Warren High School in 1973. She later attend Moorhead Technical College for general secretarial training and began working in Fargo, ND. In 1980 she moved to Willmar where she was an assistant manager at Tom Thumb.
On September 19, 1986 Trish was married to Gregg Halvorson at Taylor Falls. The couple made their home in Spicer.
She enjoyed making crafts and jewelry, traveling, music and nature.
Trish is survived by her husband, Gregg of Spicer; one son, Taylor Halvorson of Spicer; her mother, Alice Flaten of Warren; two brothers, Michael (Deanna) Flaten of Warren and Eric (Gina) Flaten of Crestwood, KY; one sister, Linda Deithman of Bakersfield, CA; Godmother, Ellen Flaten of Newfolden; one sister-in-law, Verna Flaten of Newfolden; and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her father, Vernon in 1992; one brother, Russell in 1992; and her Godfather, Paul Flaten in 1995.
