
Plummer - Lillie Halvorson, 92, died Thursday, March 26, 1998 at Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 31 at 2 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Plummer with Reverend Clarence Johnson officiating. Linda Olson provided organ and vocal music. Casketbearers were Bud Zimpel, Roger Gallant, Roger Skjerven, Merle Jesme, Rick Lorenson and Jim DuChamp. Burial will be in Clearwater Cemetery north of Plummer. The Petterson Funeral Home of Red Lake Falls was in charge of arrangements.
Lillie Milligan was born on May, 22, 1905 at Beaver City, NE, the daughter of John and Edna (Kelly) Milligan. She moved to Plummer with her parents at a young age.
On September 26, 1931 Lillie was united in marriage to Edward Halvorson at Red Lake Falls. For many years, she worked at Lloyd's Cafe in Plummer. Ed died in February of 1936.
She was a member of the Presbyterian women's organization, an elder of the church, and a member of the Senior Citizens and Auxiliary.
Lillie is survived by one son, Delano (Lee) Halvorson of Plummer; three sisters, Elinor Lieske of Red Lake Falls; Blanch Sagen of Lakota, ND and Eva Farrington of Columbia Falls, MT; one brother, Ellsworth Milligan of Plummer; one step son, Edsel Bonner of Minnetonka; one step grandchild; and two step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one sister, Charlotte.
