Frank Hagl, 93

Red Lake Falls - Frank Hagl, 93, Red Lake Falls, died Sunday, April 20, 1997, at Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls. Burial will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery at Red Lake Falls.

Frank Hagl was born on February 10, 1904, in Red Lake Falls township son of the late Francis and Theresa (Grim) Hagl. The family moved to a farm in Terrebonne township where he grew up. On November 3, 1926, Frank married Raphael Williams at St. Joseph Church in Red Lake Falls. They farmed a short time in Terrebonne township and then moved west of Red Lake Falls where they lived and farmed. They moved into Red Lake Falls in 1967. During the last several years he lived with each of his daughters. For over 29 years Frank owned a threshing rig and harvested for many farmers in the area. He served on the board of directors of the Farmers Union GTA elevator in Red Lake Falls, a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and a member of St. Joseph Church.

He is survived by two daughters marianne and husband Ted Schindler and Dolores and husband Val Schindler both of Red Lake Falls; 27 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren; one brother George Hagl of Red Lake Falls.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Raphael; sons Donald and Lawrence Hagl; brothers Louis, Leo and Paul Hagl; sisters Mary Loeffler, Laura Vatthauer, Helen Febro and Clare Hagl.
