Thief River Falls - Marie Hafdahl, 86, died Tuesday, April 28, 1998 at Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 2 at 2 p.m. at Telemarken Lutheran Church, rural Goodridge with Reverend Raynard Huglen officiating. Eloda Knutson was the organist. Casketbearers were Timothy Mickelson, Duane Lindblom, Krista Hursman, Ted Anderson, Michael Anderson, Kayla Hursman, Darren Robinson and Carrie Robinson. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls. The Green Funeral Home of Thief River Falls was in charge of the arrangements.
Marie F. Rehm was born on March 11, 1912 at Stratton, CO, the daughter of Otto and Carrie (Schlepler) Rehm. The family moved to Pennington county in 1917. Marie lived in Kratka township where she attended elementary school. In 1933 she graduated from Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls.
On December 7, 1935 Marie was united in marriage to Orlie Hafdahl at Kratka township in Pennington county. The couple made their home in Kratka township were Marie helped with the farming and dairy herd. She enjoyed cooking, canning, fishing, needlework and gardening, especially raising strawberries.
She was a member of Telemarken Lutheran Church of rural Goodridge.
Marie is survived by two daughters, Marilon (Ted) Anderson of Monrovia, CA and Carol (Jim) Robinson of Cleburne, TX; four grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Kingsbury of Hastings; and one brother, Martin (Olive) Rehm of Goodridge.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orlie, on October 19, 1993; her parents; one sister, Elsie Spillman; and two brothers, Allen Rehm and Joe Rehm.
