
Greenbush - Marlo Carl Gustafson, 63, died Monday, February 17, 1997 at the Roseau Area Hospital. Arrangements were with Gieseke Funeral Chapel of Greenbush.
Funeral services were held Friday, February 21 at United Free Lutheran Church in Greenbush with Rev. Alan Arneson officiating.
Casketbearers were Merlyn and Leslie Alme, Bennie Sys, Leif Hagen, Orleen Anderson, and Norman Svegdahl.
Marlo was born on February 3, 1934 in Greenbush, the son of John and Clara (Johnson) Gustafson. He grew up and attended rural school in Lind Township, Roseau County, rural Greenbush. He graduated from Greenbush High School the class of 1952. He served in the the United States Army for two years from 1957 to 1959. He was united in marriage to Nancy Graff on October 10, 1964 at Oiland Lutheran Church of rural Greenbush. They farmed in Lind Township for many years. He has been employed at Polaris Industries in Roseau for the past nine years. He was currently president of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church congregation of rural Greenbush and a member of the Lind Township Board.
He is survived by wife Nancy; sons Myles (Jennifer) and Neil of Greenbush; daughters Natalie Gustafson of Roseau, and Lori Gustafson of Antioch, TN; brothers David (Kay) Gustafson of Karlstad, and Juel (Fran) Gustafson of Seattle, WA; sister Clarice Smith of Walnut Creek, CA; aunt Gerda Johnson of Greenbush; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
