
Plummer - Allan Guillemette, 75, died Tuesday, December 9, 1997 at Riverview Hospital in Crookston.
Funeral services were held Friday, December 12 at 11 a.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church of Plummer with Reverend David Brockopp officiating. JoAnne Brockopp was the organist, and James LaFerriere was the soloist. Casketbearers were Dale Kraft, Kenny Hagl, Marvin Schear, Burton Carlson, Russell Quick and Louis Ulrich. Honorary casketbearers were all of Allan's family and friends. Burial was held at Oak Grove Cemetery near Red Lake Falls. The Petterson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Allan Clair Guillemette was born August 12, 1922, the son of Omer and Myrtle (Kraft) Guillemette. He was raised and attended school in the Red Lake Falls area. During the war he worked in the shipyards in California.
On August 24, 1950 Allan was united in marriage to Faith Marwitz in Red Lake Falls. The couple lived and farmed near Plummer. He also hauled gravel and worked on a mink ranch.
Allan is survived by his wife, Faith of rural Plummer; two sons, Les (Darla) of Red Lake Falls and Wayne of Plummer; two daughters, Linda (James) Anderson of Red Lake Falls and Kathy (Darrel) Lee of Plummer; eight grandchildren; his mother, Myrtle Patnode of Plummer; one sister, Pat Larson of Plummer; one nephew; and one niece.
He was preceded in death by his father, Omer; one brother, Donald; one granddaughter, Misty; and his father and mother-in-law, William and Florence Marwitz.
