Forks, N.D. - George E. Grochow, 69, died Wednesday, April 26,
2000 at Methodist Hospital in Rochester.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 1, at Sharon Lutheran Church. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery in Grand Forks with the Amundson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
George E. Grochow was born April 7, 1931 in Argyle, the son of William and Ethel (Pechie) Grochow. He grew up and attended school in Argyle, graduating from Argyle High School. He worked for Filipi Trucklines, Lampert Lumber Co. and Concrete Inc. in Grand Forks, retiring after 30 years of employment. On October 16, 1971, he married Mary Ann Bergum in Oslo.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann; one son, Christopher Grochow of Grand Forks; five brothers, Leo (Barbara) Grochow of Cloquet, Donald (Shirley) Grochow of Thief River Falls, Carroll (Sandra) Grochow of Newport, William (Lenora) Grochow of Parkston, S.D. and Willis (Janice) Grochow of Warren; and one sister, Eileen Horejsh of Thief River Falls.
