
East Grand Forks - Alice Grim, 90, died at the Villa St. Vincent in Crookston.
Alice Marie Holter was born on October 1, 1906 at Madison, the daugher of Carl and Anna (Olson) Holter. She grew up in the Greenbush area and was confirmed at Oiland Church. She married Edwin Mykleby on November 25, 1931. They made their home in the Angus area. He passed away in 1940. Alice moved to Warren and worked at the City Cafe. She married Carl Grim on July 17, 1946. Alice worked at the Illies Cafe and Carlson's Cafe. Carl died in 1963. She moved to East Grand Forks in 1965, and in 1968, she went to work at Whitey's.
Alice enjoyed playing bingo and dancing.
She is survived by four daughters, Delores "Lolly" (Howard) Metcalf of East Grand Forks, Carol (Ed) Jacobson of Grand Forks, ND, Betty Lewis of Omaha, NE and Shirley (Lowell) Hamrick of Warren; step-daughter, Donna Schindler of East Grand Forks; 33 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; one sister, Olga Heddan of Badger; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands; one daughter, Darlene Bedard; one baby son; one granddaughter; four brothers; and three sisters.
Funeral services for Alice Grim were held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church In Warren. Interment was at Greenwood Cemetery in Warren. The Quanrud-DuBore Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
