Falls with Rev. Dennis Weiland officiating.
Kristi LaSalle was the organist, and Doris' granddaughter, Sheri Sergent, was the reader. Special music was provided by granddaughters Nikki Goulet, Angelique Goulet Newcomb and Danielle Goulet. The Resurrection Choir also presented special music. Servers were Sister Laurian Lasha, Doris Eisbrener and Sylvia Jenson. Granddaughters Lisa Christian, Jessica Pream, Stacy Roberts and Jennifer Glass were the gift presenters.
Casketbearers were Craig Holm, Steven Bump, Jonathan Pream, Will Gunderson, James Hurst and Edward Christian. Honorary casketbearers were all of Doris' grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The Green Funeral Home of Thief River Falls was in charge of the arrangements.
Doris Rosemary Lasha was born on December 15, 1920 in Argyle, the daughter of Emery and Josephine (Morin) Lasha. While growing up, she lived in Detroit, Mich., St. Paul and Red Lake Falls. She attended school in Argyle and Red Lake Falls.
On June 28, 1938, Doris was united in marriage to Leonard Joseph Goulet at Dorothy. The couple lived in Crookston for a short time and then moved to Red Lake Falls. In 1943, they moved to Thief River Falls. Leonard died in 1963. In 1970, Doris began working at Northwest Medical Center in the housekeeping department. She moved to Valley Home in September of 1998 and Oakland Park Nursing Home in April of 2000.
She enjoyed reading, traveling and especially spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church.
Doris is survived by eight daughters, Joy Holm of Hastings, Carole (Duane) Glass of Thief River Falls, Vicki (Mike) Bump of Alexandria, Linda Jo Goulet of McIntosh, Diane (David) Gunderson of Minnetonka, Kathryn (Todd) Lessen of Atlanta, Ga., Donna (Al) Weeks of Savage, and Ginny (Lyndon) Pream of Thief River Falls; two sons, Michael Goulet of Minneapolis and Jim (partner Ray Nelson) of St. Louis Park; one daughter-in-law, Linda Goulet of Thief River Falls; 20 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one sister, Sister Laurian Lasha of Crookston; and several sisters-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Ronald and John "Jack;" parents; one sister, Noella Audette; and two brothers, Robert and Clem Lasha. A00003B2000JN14
