No funeral services were held, and burial was private. Arrangements were under the direction of Fremont Chapel of Roses.
Ephraim P. Gordon was born on May 6, 1918 in Thief River Falls. A World War II veteran, he served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946. Ray lived in San Lorenzo, CA for 50 years and was a self-employed appliance repairman for 15 years. Previously, he worked at Bruners for 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Mavis of San Lorenzo, CA; two daughters, Kathy Haak of Salem, OR and Sheryl Layne of San Leandro, CA; three sons, Steven Gordon of San Lorenzo, CA, Lynn Gordon of Fremont, CA and Jeffrey Gordon of Pleasanton, CA; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; one sister and one brother.
