
Greenbush - Peter W. Gonshorowski, 56, died Saturday, March 1, 1997 at Roseau Area Hospital. Arrangements were with Collins Funeral Home of Greenbush.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 3 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Greenbush with Rev. Don Braukmann officiating. Burial was in Blessed Sacrament Cemetery of Greenbush.
Casketbearers were Joey, Neil, Luke, Marc, Efram and Carter Novacek.
Peter William Gonshorowski was born on September 28, 1940 in Greenbush, the son of Peter P. and Gladys (Dann) Gonshorowski. He was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith and graduated from Greenbush High School in 1959. He served with the United States Army for two years and returned to Greenbush following his discharge from service. Peter was a dragline operator and owned his own dragline business for several years. He currently owned and operated Gonshorowski Sanitation Service of Greenbush.
He was a life-long member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church of Greenbush, and a member of the Greenbush Knights of Columbus, as well as of the Greenbush American Legion Post #88.
He is survived by his father; brothers Terrance (Hattie) of McCalla, AL, and Charles (Becky) of Aiken, SC; sisters Mary Kay (Arvid) Janson of Warroad, and Jean (Larry) Hulett, and Susan (Dennis) Hogsett of West Fargo, ND; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother in 1986; brother James in 1994; and nephew Cole in 1985.
